Offline Installations

flyingshapes° can also bin run and installed on PCs that are not connected to the internet. The installation can be easily done via the following installer:

If you have used this installer you can still use your normal account as long as you your PC is connected to the internet. As an On-Premise user, you can create an offline token allowing you to use flyingshapes° if you do not have access to the internet. This article explains you how to create this token.

Prerequisites

Creating an Offline Token

Step 1: Install fs°

Please install flyingshapes° on the PC that you want to create the offline token for.

To do so, please download and run the flyingshapes° installer via the following link: https://flyingshapes.com/download

The installer needs access to the internet. If you need an offline installer, please contact our support team: support@flyingshapes.com.

Step 2: Run fs°

Launch the application from its shortcut on the Desktop or in the Start Menu. A login screen will show up:

If fs° can connect to the flyingshapes° servers, you can use your credentials to log in and use fs° (1). There is no need to create a token.

Step 3: create the offline token

If fs° cannot connect to our servers, you will see a link (2) on the log-in screen. Clicking this will open a web browser. If the browser has access to the flyingshapes° servers, you can generate your token on the page that will open. Otherwise, please copy the URL from the address bar of your web browser and open it on another PC or send it to support@flyingshapes.com.

The URL leads you to our license management page which will display a message like this:

 

Using the Token

Please use the username/email and password shown in the screen above as credentials in the log in window of the installed flyingshapes° app. You will be able to use all features of flyingshapes° for a defined time period, specified by our support team. After this time, a new token with an extended period can be provided on request.
